The Hidden Key Was Found!

Friendly neighbors from Minnesota are the latest winners in our Wisconsin Treasure Hunt.

“WE NEEDED something positive to look forward to with the pandemic, so when we received our magazine and saw the teardrop trailer that Our Wisconsin was offering as the prize for its treasure hunt, we got excited.”

So says Maple Grove Minnesota resident Jake Keehan, who with his wife, Brianne, are the latest winners in our Wisconsin Treasure Hunt. By finding the key we hid in Patrick Lake Park in Adams County, they won the trailer you see above. This custom-built beauty was made by TCTeardrops of Wausau.

Congratulations, Jake and Brianne!

Their story begins this past spring as the COVID virus had most folks confined to home. “The state parks were all closed at that time and our plans to do things in spring and summer were all canceled,” Jake recounts.

“We had a lot of time with not a lot to do, so we researched. When the state parks began to open, we visited Devil’s Lake and Mirror Lake and struck out at both of them,” he says.

The couple was invited to a wedding weekend in Wisconsin Dells and drove there from Minnesota. After the festivities, they were about to head home on Sunday.

Northeast to Minnesota?

“We had about six parks on our list and a couple of them were in Adams County. Even though it was a little out of our way, we decided to hit a park or two as long as we were down there.

“It took us a while to find this park because it was kind of hidden away. We drove past it a couple times but finally found it,” Jake recounts. “I found the package in a small shelter there and couldn’t believe it!”

The couple plans to camp all around Wisconsin in their new trailer with their son, Tim, age 2. Some biking will also happen, as they enjoy that sport.

Again, congratulations to the winners of this, our seventh Wisconsin Treasure Hunt!

Will we hold another one? Watch future issues to learn the answer!

A-camping they will go. Teardrop trailer winners Brianne and Jake, with son Tim and their dog Mya, are on the road to adventure.
